Austin Sex Therapy | Liaison.

Many people who seek this work arrive with a sense that something has shifted, not broken, but no longer recognizable. A relationship to desire, the body or intimacy has changed in ways that have not yet formed into language. This work attends to that kind of difficulty.

Liaison. offers existential sex therapy for individuals in Austin seeking depth-oriented, meaning-centered work around sexuality, desire and intimate life. All sessions are conducted virtually, which means the quality of the therapeutic relationship, rather than proximity, determines fit.

The approach is existential. Sexual concerns are not treated in isolation from the broader questions of identity, freedom and meaning that give them their weight. Desire is understood as revealing rather than merely symptomatic. The aim is not symptom resolution but a more honest orientation to one's own experience.

This work is well suited to individuals who are willing to move slowly, who sense that their concerns are connected to something larger than behavior, and who want to be understood rather than advised.

Dr. Genevieve Marcel holds a PhD in Clinical Sexology and a master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. She is a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Sexology and maintains professional affiliation with AASECT and the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality.

Liaison. is a private-pay practice. Sessions are available virtually on a weekly or bimonthly basis.

If the work feels aligned, you are welcome to schedule an initial session.
